- upcoming combat overhaul
From Punchpacket, 13.12.2018:
We are exploring the technical limitations of the engine and our assets. Can confirm locational damage. Pouncing will be reintroduced into the game. Our plans are to make combat more involved, not more complex. As far as using the environment in combat, each day we’re pushing the technical limitation of the UE4 engine, implementing environmental combat is something we can look into but we have to ensure the game remains playable across various machines.

- Bonebreak mechanic ( Leg fracture mechanics )
From Punchpacket, 05.02.2019:
We likely will introduce it again but we’ll want it to be more tactical and nuanced than it ever was previously. With the changes to come with combat, you’ll likely see it reintroduced. But in a way you’ve yet to experience.

- Trample Damage
From Punchpacket, 05.02.2019:
This is another desired feature that we’ve discussed internally. We’re still looking for the best solution to this. Because granting a player any manner of immunity from damage comes with its own inherent problems in a multiplayer game. Potentially making it impossible for small carnivores to kill hatchlings. Because they can just stand at the feet of their parents that will do trample damage to whatever gets close. So while we likely won’t grant immunity we’re brainstorming solutions for sure.
