Avaceratops is a genus of nasutoceratopsine ceratopsian from the late Campanian of Montana. It contains only one species, A.lammersi.
Avaceratops were added to The Isle in Patch 0.1.13.3407.
In Real Life[]
Avaceratops was a small ceratopsian that probably fed on ferns, cycads, and low-growing conifers. Due to how fragmentary the holotype is, much of Avaceratops' appearance is not known for certain, although it's likely it bore a resemblance to its close relative, Nasutoceratops.
In The Isle[]
Avaceratops is one of, if not, the most powerful dinosaur of its size in the game. While it's not very powerful enough to face most mesopredators, such as Carnotaurus and Ceratosaurus, its still a threat to smaller dinosaurs, with its health at a very high 1000 and being able to inflict 25 damage per hit (which would be more significant to creatures like a Herrerasaurus due to its high weight, doing 50 damage to the latter).
Avaceratops are more likely to survive if in a herd with others or a mixed herd of Triceratops, Diabloceratops, and other Avaceratops. When fighting a pack of Herrerasaurus or Austroraptor when in a group yourself. the preferred strategy is to form a circle, as many ceratopsians do, with your horns facing the attackers and your backside inside the circle. Though a few herd's members may get injured from the bites of the carnivores, it is less likely to have any death occur.
Stick close to one another so if any danger comes, you can form a defensive circle. When a larger carnivore appears, four calls as quickly as you can and find a place for you to hide as the larger carnivores are able to one-shot you. If you do not flee as soon as you spot them, they can easily catch you due to your slow speed.
Avaceratops spawns as AI in Survival but is currently playable in Sandbox.

"Actually, just about all our ceratopsians are full of attitude, but the wrath of this one might’ve altered (or rather added to) its diet to take advantage of the carnage. Like boars, they have little patience for the presence of other creatures and are bullies of anything remotely their size. Full of energy, they’ll run you out of town unless you can hit back or are exceptionally good at staying out of reach. So keep an eye on your hatchlings, such fragile things are a prized target of the opportunistic ceratopsian."
